Preparation and Prayers

We are a group of 6 that will head to Sao Paulo, Brazil on Thursday, Feb. 5th. We will be working with Restoration Ministries. This ministry works with kids in the favelas (slums) teaching them about God's love...creating a loving atmosphere where needs are met, useful skills are taught, and kids are given hope. This trip will be construction oriented as we work to complete a music studio at their main day center in the Sapopemba area of the city. We will also travel to Camp California...their property outside the city, and do some maintenance work there. This first entry is written by Diane Slusher, team leader. This will be my 5th ministry related trip to work with RM....plus I'm blessed to have visited my friends there many other times. I am so excited to be taking my husband, Mike, along for his first chance to get to know this ministry that I have become so passionate about. I'm going to encourage some of the others to post some comments before we leave. More later!
