God is so good. Flights went smoothly and we are here in a hot, very humid, Sao Paulo. Friday was a "get acclimated" day. We dropped our luggage at the hotel and went to the Restoration Ministries day center for a late lunch. It is a joy to get to introduce our team to my dear friends here. We then surveyed the music room project and made a list of supplies needed. Also, one of our team members, Guy, is a skilled electrician so they had other work in the building that he will be able to help with. We shopped for needed items (even that is an adventure here) and after dinner, collapsed at the hotel for a good (?) night's sleep.
So we are off and running (a slow jog perhaps...things don't move quickly here) this morning. Jose is off with Wellington on his motorcycle getting one more thing we need, Guy is doing electricity, and rest of team is beginning the music room flooring.
It is wonderful to have this opportunity to serve this ministry and give them tools (facilities) to help reach the children here. Tomorrow we will have even more chance to interact with the people of RM....until then, please keep praying. Tchau (good-bye in Portuguese).
Great pictures! Thanks for posting! The girls enjoyed seeing Daddy. :) Have a wonderful time sharing God's love and being His hands and feet. We're praying for a prosperous trip and a safe return. Can't wait to see you all!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless,
Amy Flores
I have y'all on a prayer list and pray daily for the Lord's love to just ooze out of the work you're doing for Him.
ReplyDeleteI got an email from my husband (Dave Drummond) yesterday. No letters on the keyboard, but I think it said he was excited about the work and misses Stretch(our dachshound)and me.
Please keep sending photo of everyone doing God's work.
Love,
Robin Drummond :-)
